Through modern forms of online communication, individuals have become willing to expose personal aspects of their lives to an unknown audience. Due to advancements in technology, there are a rising number of people who constantly have access to the World Wide Web. Therefore, the ability to share day-to-day activities and momentary thoughts is increasing. The series, People I’ve Never Met, explores how individuals expose their private lives and why these actions are becoming more widely accepted. The found objects in the series include social networking posts, personal objects, such as photographs, and various forms of video. By using actual shared personal information, the audience will evaluate private moments made public by modern forms of online communication and contemplate the possible consequences of always being connected.
