I will be performing a capital budgeting analysis of different majors using net present value of the lifetime salary cash flows and comparing those to that of a high school graduate. I suspect they will be different and the knowledge might change their choice of major. I will be gathering my data from national resources to find average salaries per major over a life time and use that to analyze my results. Students need to know the importance of their major in the job market and the possibly income that goes along with their choice.
