Craft Brewing in the United States has experienced rapid growth in recent years. As growth continues, entrepreneurs may be enticed to create new firms and enter the market. Some entrepreneurs opening breweries may see the Beer City, USA region as a potential location to operate their firms profitably and create value. Publicly available financial data from craft breweries and the market for craft breweries, however, remains scarce. This project presents to the literature new research on craft breweries by utilizing data collected from private firms operating within Asheville to conduct case study style financial valuations. Entrepreneurship, modern techniques for valuation, along with research findings and recommendations for future research, are discussed.
